The University of Kentucky Zine Library began in June 2006 and is currently working towards establishing its collection. The collection has a focus of zines produced in or discussing issues related to the Southern United States or those with an environmental focus (global warming, bikes, veganism, sustainable communities, etc.)

Although the zine library is not yet open to the public, it will be open later this year and will be housed in the Breckenridge Room of the King Building (179 Funkhouser Drive) on the University of Kentucky's campus in Lexington, Kentucky.
