The University of Kentucky Zine Library began in June 2006 by two undergraduate students at the university and is currently working towards establishing its collection. The collection's focus includes zines produced in or discussing issues related to the Southern United States or those with an environmental slant (global warming, bikes, veganism, sustainable communities, etc.)

Although the zine library is not yet open to the public, it will be open later this year and will be housed in the Breckenridge Room of the Margaret I. King Library (179 Funkhouser Drive) on the University of Kentucky's campus in Lexington, Kentucky. The collection will be non-circulating.

Questions, comments, concerns, and information about donations can be sent to ukzinelibrary@gmail.com.
