In the late 1980's Tom was active in the Bay Area punk scene. He was a shit worker for the club Gilman St. Project and the magazine [[Maximum Rock and Roll]]. He was an active skater and did a publication called Shred of Dignity. By the early 1990's he co-edited the publication [[Homocore]]. The publication gave fire to some of the most radical days of groups like ACT UP, he eventually made waves in computer programming.
