The World's A Mess and Yr My Only Cure is a Riot Grrrl zine by Em Ledger (Ms Ova Ree) of the Lola and the Cartwheels Collective. The focus of this zine is on feminist/queer DIY culture, focusing on inspiration, influences, motivation and celebrating self empowerment.

The zine features interviews with people the editor, and others, continue to take influence from, seeking to discover the inspirations of these idols, while also taking a look at the people carving new inspiration into the present and future.

Issue One

Issue 1 (August 2008) focuses on DIY/feminist heroines and includes contributions from Melissa Ann of Jerk Alert and She's so very... zine, Asbo a Go-Go Girls, Nat Barker, Penny Broadhurst, Bunny of Wonderleague.co.uk, Cara of Daisy Daisy Does, artist Enid Crow, Dottie's Fake DIY, Julia Downes of Manifesta Leeds, Kandy of Knit and Destroy and Sugar Paper zine, Jenny Howe of Vile Vile Creatures, Poet Sally Jenkinson, Calvin Johnson, filmmaker Nina Jones, Ngombo Chansa Machile of Manifesta Leeds, Melanie Maddison of Colouring Outside The Lines, Kershona Mayo, Ste McCabe, Nina Nijsten, Tanina Punk of Fight Together zine, Queer X, Kelly Rose of Pulse zine, Lady Rouge of Superdisne zine, Skulleena of Kandy Pop and Sugar Paper zine, Charlotte Toecurl, and Allison Wolfe.

Issue Two is set for publishing by November 2009. Featuring interviews with The Thermals, Elizabeth Rockett of Riot GrrrLife zine, Hannah Neurotica and many more...
