The Mad 3 Party was a science fiction fanzine by Laurie Mann, Pat Vandenberg, and then Leslie Turek.

The Mad 3 Party was founded by Laurie Mann in 1984 as a newsletter for the bid for Worldcon. She had handed it over to Pat Vandenberg who edited it for a couple of years before passing it on to Leslie Turek in 1986 who made it the Noreascon 3 newsletter. It was under Leslie's editorship that the The Mad 3 Party won the Hugo Award for Best Fanzine in 1990.

The Mad 3 Party was published in Cambridge, Massachusetts, U.S.A. from 1984 to 1990. 38 issues were released.

Contributors of writing included George Flynn, Jim Hudson, Joe Mayhew, Mark Olson, Sharon Sbarsky, Greg Thokar, Dennis Virzi (Fanthology 1986), and Pat Mueller Virzi (The Texas SF Inquirer, Pirate Jenny), among others.

Contributors of art work included Brad Foster, among others.

It was described by Chuq Von Rospach, in Electronic OtherRealms #25, as "More than you ever wanted to know about running a Worldcon, the Noreascon 3 fanzine."

Letters came from Nancy Atherton, Ed Beauregard (BCSFAzine), Corey Cole, Chip Hitchcock, Linda Ross-Mansfield, Margaret Middleton (Runway 37), Lloyd Penney (Torus), Garth Spencer (The Maple Leaf Rag), and Tom Whitmore, among others.

In a letter to The Drink Tank, Lloyd Penney mentions that two parody issues of The Mad 3 Party were published by Boston Fandom in their bid for the 1989 Worldcon and, "not only were the bid and fanzine parodied, so was I. Great fun." The same year, Yvonne Penney's newsletter The Party Times included reprints from The Mad 3 Party.

Leslie Turek had previously co-edited, with Cory Panshin, six issues of the MITSFS fanzine Twilight Zine from 1966 to 1967.

Laurie Mann began publishing the Stratus DF SIG News, an electronic newsletter, in May 1988 till February 1993.
