The Horror Zine's mission is to publish and promote struggling writers, poets, and artists. Not all of our contributors are struggling, however. The Horror Zine has published such "masters of the macabre" as Ramsey Campbell, Graham Masterton, Bentley Little, Joe R. Lansdale, Simon Clark, Ed Gorman, Deborah Le Blanc, Stephen Gallagher...the list goes on and on. There is room for everyone, famous and non-famous, on The Horror Zine.

The Horror Zine is a monthly ezine (although we also publish anthology books), accepting submissions of fiction, poetry, and artwork from morbidly creative people. We are an exposure-only zine, and our guidelines include: no splatter-punk, no gore for gore's sake, no harming of children, and no erotica. We prefer a good, entertaining story and atmosphere over shock, and we are especially fond of surprise, twisted, and Hitchcock-type endings.
