The Brooklynite was an amateur press publication.

The Brooklynite was edited by Hazel Pratt Adams and distributed through the United Amateur Press Association.

The poems of H. P. Lovecraft were featured in issues 14, 15, 16, and 17. "providence" aapears in the November 1924 issue. "My Favorite Character" appeared in the Jan 1926 issue. "Providence" is again included in Volume 17, number 2 issue of May 1927 issue.

Contributors included A.M. Adams, Alice L. Carson, Edna von der Heide (The Inspiration), Rheinhart Kleiner, and W.B. Stoddard.
