The Banana King is a Chicago based zine which was named after a line in the Jack Kerouac novel, On The Road, where a discussion takes place where one of the characters espouses on the virtue and purity of being the 'Banana King,' the guy who sells bananas. The zine is known for being a outlet for local writers.
