Following the guidelines for inclusion on Zine Wiki, that chapbooks be by zinesters or by writers connected in some way to zines, the only conclusion we can come to about this entry is that it doesn't belong on Zine Wiki. The author is not credited as a zine editor and no mention is made of any zines they may have created, or written for, and the entry has no relation to zines, in and of itself. Therefore I nominate this article for deletion. InvisibleFriend 20:58, 28 May 2007 (EDT)

Jen Pilles is a zinester. She's written numerous zines - the two I can name off the top of my head are the Tiki (which is about to become a book published by Valiant Death) and Escaping Suburbia series. Jen's also ran a zine library in Ontario. - Sarah 29 May 2007 12:00PM EDT

This information is great to know. Do you think you could put it into this article? Or, perhaps even write an article for her? She sounds like an interesting and accomplished person whose work should be read about. Thanks for providing this information. InvisibleFriend 13:54, 29 May 2007 (EDT)

One other thing -is it possible that this is, in actual fact, a zine rather than a chapbook? InvisibleFriend 13:56, 29 May 2007 (EDT)

I can't make any promises that I can write anything about her. I just peek in this website about once a week, I don't have time to write stuff or edit things anymore. I also haven't talked to Jen in 3 years and have had trouble remembering the full Tiki zine title and if her zine library is still around. As far as whether or not it's a zine or a chapbook, if she says it's a chapbook, then it's a chapbook. *shrugs* Sarah 31 May 2007 15:38pm EDT

Chapbook def.

I think all chapbooks are zines - they are zines that have one issue. If you start ruling out any zine that doesn't have two issues you severely restrict zinewiki. I find chapbooks to be some of the very best zine content. I'm leary of this exclusion definition. If you keep ruling out entries you won't have anyone writing much here. I would certainly rule out anything that looks like a published book and that includes any of the many indie books - but chapbooks have all the same pluses as zines - just with a different name. IMO they are usually special projects of zine writers. But that is not always true - so I encourage you to be a little lenient here. And if there is some rush to exclusion, at least be sure someone has actually seen the title under debate. Otherwise we will turn zinewiki into the same nitpicking no-to-everything that wikipedia often is. Musea 22:18, 3 June 2007 (EDT)
