I guess I'm the first and only person to write anything on the discussion board. I've barely looked at ZineWiki so far, but have just looked at the entry for Fred Woodworth's The Match.

It struck me as odd, and was somewhat disappointing, to see that there was no physical address with the entry. Why not? Shouldn't a website about zines honor "snail mail" by providing physical addresses? It seems like kind of a snub to the very subculture the whole site is apparently devoted.

If you say you're worried about privacy, zinesters and "papernet" enthusiasts---or should we say, mail junkies---spread their POB addresses all over the place, and a few, even their home addresses. Mail junkies like to live dangerously! That's part of the thrill!

But maybe my comments are premature. And since I am the first and only one on the forums right now, I wonder if there's enough interest out their for a reply. Will this be another dead end for me like it often is in cyberdom?

Guess we'll have to see.

With over 500 registered users in six months, there's enough interest I assure you. Some entries include contact information like a physical address or an email address. Other entires do not because in most cases these articles are written by readers and fans of other zines, not the zine writers themselves. So most readers can write a brief blurb about numerous zines but haven't memorized their contact info.
If you see entries missing this information that you know the contact info for, by all means, add it. The only hesitation on my part to do such is that contact info changes often, and I'd rather each article contain a weblink to the zine writer's website because their personal websites are updated with correct contact info, usually.
There is no "forum" for ZineWiki, numerous discussions have and are currently taking place on various Talk pages, much like this one. Have a look around, and thank you for any contributions you may make. Alan Fall of Autumn 19:43, 23 February 2007 (EST)

Wow, I didn't even know that this existed! I was being vain and searching for references to my zines when I found a listing for one I did a few years back, complete with my old email address. I had been forced to give up the address a while back because I was, inexplicably, geting so much spam sent to it: now I know why! It's probably a good idea to contact the zine maker before putting their address and so on for public (and web crawler) view.
