The Portable Document Format (commonly called PDF) is an open file format created by Adobe Systems in 1993. Many Zine editors use it as a way to distribute zines on the web. Several sites host large libraries of PDFzines, including FANAC.org and eFanzines.com. Science fiction fandom has come to embrace the PDF format for their webzines following the examples set by editors such as Cheryl Morgan, John Foyster, Arnie Katz and Marty Cantor. Among the best known PDF zines in science fiction fandom are Vegas Fandom Weekly, The Drink Tank, In A Prior Lifetime, eFNAC, Emerald City and Pixel. Several zines which are normally printed but also post a PDF include Chunga, Littlebrook, Plokta, Prolapse and File 770.
