According to the book by Simon Doonan, Wacky Chicks: Life Lessons from Fearlessly Inappropriate and Fabulously Eccentric Women, which featured P5, one reviewer described the editor of P5's Pussy Magazine as, "a female John Waters editing Cosmo". P5 admits, "I am very much inspired by Helen Gurley Brown". At least 14 issues of the zine were released.
