Orcrist was a fanzine devoted to the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, published by The University of Wisconsin J.R.R. Tolkien Society

The first issue was released in 1966, and eight issues were published.

Issue one was edited by Richard C. West, and James B. Robinson. The Art Editor was Ivor A. Rogers, and this issue included contributions of prose from Paulette Carroll, James Robinson , Richard C. West; contributions of poetry from Janet Boatner; and musical scores by Deborah Webster. Art work was by Laura Haglund, among others.

Issue two, released in 1967, featured contributions of poetry by Deborah Webster; contributions of prose by Karen Corlett,Deborah C. Webster, Jr., Richard C. West; a one act play by Paulette Carroll; and musical scores by Deborah Webster, Jr. Art work was by Laura Haglund and Ivor Rogers.

Issue three appeared in 1969, and was dedicated to Deborah Webster. The editor was Richard C. West, and the Art Editor was Glen GoodKnight. Contributors of articles included Clyde S. Kilby, Alexis Levitin, David M. Miller, Glenn E. Sadler, and Richard C. West. Contributors of art work included George Barr, Bonnie Bergstrom, Steve Fabian, Tim Kirk, Bruce McMenomy, Diana Paxson, and Bernie Zuber. Cover art work was by Tim Kirk.

Issue 4 was published in 1969, and was edited by Richard C. West. The Art Editor was Ivor Rogers. Included in this issue are extracts from letters by J.R.R. Tolkien. Contributions of writing included a collaboration by Royce Buehler, Carleton W. Carroll, Paulette Carroll, Duane Dobry, William F. Orr, and Richard West, as well as articles by Lloyd Alexander, Paulette Carroll, Bonniejean Christensen, Alexis Levitin, Bob Mesibov, Deborah Webster Rogers, Joe Snow, and Richard C. West. Contributors of art work included Laura Haglund, Pete Poplaski, Ivor Rogers, and Deborah Webster, Sr. The cover art work was by Pete Poplaski.

Issue 5 was released in 1971. It included writing by Stephen A. Gottlieb, Jared Lobdell, Richard C. West, and musical settings by Laura Haglund. The cover art work was by George D. Asdell. Other art work was by Danny Frolich, Laura Haglund, Pete Poplaski, Ivor Rogers, and Deborah Webster, Sr. Letters came from Edward Felipe.
