Moonbroth was first published in 1971 The last issue, #30, appeared in 1977, was published by his wife, Jane Donaldson, with Bill and Sutton Breiding, soon after his tragic death in January 1977.

Contributors included Phyllis Ann Karr (The Literary magaszine of Famtasy and Terror), Janet Fox, B. George Hallenbeck, Patty G. Henderson, and Jessica Amanda Salmonson (Fantasy Macabre).
