Mike Haeg, better known as Mr. Mike, is a cartoonist, prankster, and graphic designer based in Minneapolis, MN and Olympia, WA.
Throughout the 1990's, Haeg published zines and mini-comics, including: Rump, Sauce, Ye Olde Stinkhammer Press, Popular Time Bomb, Dusty the Crustie, and The Bulkhead. His artwork has also appeared in Cake Magazine, on records and CDs (e.g., The Jawbreaker / Crimpshrine split 7"), and in the book Route 666: On the Road to Nirvana by Gina Arnold (who reprinted one of Mr. Mike's concert flyers without his permission).
In 1991, Mike Haeg's cartoons were featured in the Misfit Lit exhibition at Artifex Alternative Arts, together with comics by Julie Doucet (Dirty Plotte), Los Bros. Hernandez (Love and Rockets), and Dan Clowes (Eightball).
Haeg has collaborated with other underground cartoonists, including John Porcellino from King-Cat Comics and Stories, and Zak Sally, creator of The Recidivist and Sammy the Mouse.
Mike Haeg is currently the Mayor of Mount Holly, MN, a city-within-a-city, with four legal residents.
