Jessie Duke owns Pioneers Press, a small press distro and publishing house.

Pioneers Press focuses on survival and sustainability from the farm to the city, in addition to health, gender, sexuality, and a cruelty-free lifestyle. Pioneers Press was previously named Microcosm Distribution, which was started by ex-Microcosm Publishing collective members after they split from Microcosm Publishing in 2012. Jessie worked at Microcosm Publishing from 2006 to 2012.

Jessie Duke was the co-founder and managing editor of the weekly newspaper Fahrenheit San Diego and has written and done editorial work for a number of publications, including Herbivore Magazine, Risen, and the Portland Mercury. She has three serial zines, The Hard Fifty Farm (Punch Drunk Press 12/16/12), Confessions of a Terrible Mother: The Hidden Side of Parenting (2013), and The Cruelty-Free Homesteader (2013).
