Hal Niedzviecki a writer and co-founder of Broken Pencil, which he edited from 1995 to 2002. He lives in Toronto, Ontario and his writing has appeared in magazines like Adbusters, the Utne Reader and Toronto Life. Though he continues to write for Broken Pencil, Niedzviecki's involvement seems mostly limited to promoting his books. Examples include Random House published The Program, and the Penguin published Hello, I'm Special and We Want Some Too: Underground Desire and the Reinvention of Mass Culture. Hey, I appreciate being added, but the info above isn't accurate: After editing Broken Pencil for 7 years, I took over the fiction editor position of the magazine (email me short stories at fiction at broken pencil.com) and I stayed on as publisher. I still hold both those roles. And, yeah, I like to slip ads into the mag for my books! Check out my full bio, read articles by me, and see what my books are all about at [1]
