Garret Schuelke

Garret Schuelke is a writer, journalist, activist, and promoter hailing from Alpena, Michigan. He moved to Kalamazoo in 2009, where he attended Western Michigan University, earning Bachelors in Arts in December 2011.

His writings have been featured in the Western Herald, Phiendly, Public Record Contraband, The Litribune, Kzoo Music Scene, DIT Kalamazoo, The CrossCut, The Heel Press, Alternative Reel, Dogzplot, Strange Road, and Black Book Press poetry zine. He has self-published two chapbooks of poetry, titled "Blind Grave Robber" and "Agnostic Eggs", and is currently working on a superhero fiction series called "Gerwolf".

He resides in Kalamazoo at a house venue called The Black Lodge, where he swags out daily and drinks plenty of wine.
