Emerge and See Unity is a zine published by Dakota Phoenix. Issue #1 was completed in April 2003. The majority of that first issue was a narrative about the author's experiences with mental disorders, medications, psychiatric hospitalizations and learning to adapt to these events. There was also a reprint of the Ursula K Leguin short story The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas and an article by Ram Dass about the benefits of meditation.

Issue #2 was finally completed in late September 2006. Most of it was the author's Reading Log. It consisted of 19 months of reading: 15 in-depth reviews and reflections on books on topics such as political prisoners, hoboes, peak oil, sci-fi, and a bunch of end-of-the-world fiction. Also included; thoughts on relationship guidelines, the nature of personal reality, and reconciling past and current selves. As of September 25, 2006 issue 2 is still available. Email or write to author if interested in obtaining a copy. Cost to USA/Canada/Mexico addresses is $2 in cash/stamps.
