Emerge and See Unity is a zine published by Dakota Phoenix.  Issue #1 was completed in April 2003.  The majority of that first issue was a narrative about the author's experiences with mental disorders, medications, psychiatric hospitalizations and learning to adapt to these events.  There was also a reprint of the Ursula K Leguin short story ''The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas'' and an article by Ram Dass about the benefits of meditation.

Issue #2 was finally completed in late September 2006.  Most of it was the author's Reading Log.  It consisted of 19 months of reading: 15 in-depth reviews and reflections on books on topics such as political prisoners, hoboes, peak oil, sci-fi, and a bunch of end-of-the-world fiction. Also included; thoughts on relationship guidelines, the nature of personal reality, and reconciling past and current selves.  As of September 25, 2006 issue 2. Email or write to author if interested in obtaining a copy. Cost to USA/Canada/Mexico addresses is $2 in cash/stamps.
