Alongside mostly cheap second hand books the shop has a zine shelf of current zines both locally produced and internationally imported. Dead Trees and Dye is a distro based out of London, England, United Kingdom.

The distro now forms part of Peter’s physical shop Books on Maxted Road in Peckham, south London. Alongside mostly cheap second hand books the shop has a zine shelf of current zines both locally produced and internationally imported. The shop has its own in house zine the Books Review of Books and Peter contributes a column to the Sticky Fingers art/literature monthly subscription zine.
