Dark Dreams was a small press publication by David Cowperthwaite, Jeffrey Dempsey, and Mark Valentine.
Subtitled "Macabre and Fantasy Fiction", Dark Dreams was a literary zine devoted to horror, supernatural and weird fiction, and was published in Liverpool, England, in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Early issues were co-edited by David Cowperthwaite and Mark Valentine, and later issues by David Cowperthwaite and Jeffrey Dempsey. Issues 2 and 3 were published in 1985, with issue 5 coming in 1986, issue 6 in 1987, issue 7 in 1988, issue 8 in 1990, and issue 9, the last issue, in 1992.
