Burnt Toast was a media science fiction fanzine by David Carroll.
Devoted to Dr. Who television series and books, Burnt Toast was published in Sydney, Australia, in the 1990s, the first issue appearing in February 1990. The last issue on paper was issue 13, released May 1993. Also released was the Burnt Toast video. Although Dr. Who was the focus, the zine also featured book reviews film reviews, and essays on other topics as well.
Cover art work was contributed by Jonathan Barons for issues 1, and issues 3 through 12, Jonathan Barons with Matthew Milner for issue 5, and Kyla Ward for issue 13. Interior art work was by Jonathan Barons.

The Burnt Toast video, called "Video Toaster", featured short films, and clips, including: Minute Waltz, a short film, written by Kate Orman, directed by Simon Moore; The Bad Guy Boogie; a clips segment, compiled by David Carroll; Coolsville, a video clip to the song by Laurie Anderson, directed by Kyla Ward; Remember Me, a short film, written and directed by Peter Griffiths; Step Back in Time, a clips segment, compiled by Peter Griffiths; The Traveller, a poem by Kyla Ward; Ashes to Ashes; a clips segment, compiled by David Carroll; Descension, a film written by David Carroll and Kyla Ward, directed by Kyla Ward.
David Carroll also co-published the zine Tabula Rasa with Kyla Ward.
