Bubblegum Slut is a music-based zine edited by Alison B, which focuses predominantly on glam, sleaze, goth, punk, rockabilly and psychobilly. Published in Essex, UK since 2000, 34 issues have been produced as of July 2009.

While early issues were black and white throughout and averaged around 40 A5 pages, the zine has grown significantly over it's nine years in print, with Issue 20 introducing full colour covers and a typical 80 page count. As of Issue 27 each edition has also included a free sampler CD. One distinctive feature which has remained unchanged is the trademark fake-fur heart which adorns the cover of every copy.

Although essentially a music zine Bubblegum Slut also runs regular features on art, literature, fashion, film and various interesting characters suiting the sleazy vibe of the music it covers. Hence name artists such as the New York Dolls, Justin Hawkins and The Wildhearts have often shared page space with new acts and club promoters, dominatrixes and notorious groupies.

Award Nominations

Bubblegum Slut has been twice shortlisted in the EMAP Publishing Group's annual Fanzine Awards.
