Aklo was a small press publication released by Roger Dobson and Mark Valentine.

Subtitled "A Journal of the Fantastic", Aklo was released annually in the UK during the 1980s and 1990s. The first issue appeared in Spring 1988, with issue 2 released in Summer 1989, issue 3 in Winter 1990/1991, and issue 4 in Summer 1991. Issue 5 was published in Autumn 1992 as a hardcover book by Tartarus Press.

Aklo celebrated the authors of the 1890s, focusing primarily on Arthur Machen and his circle, but also featuring articles on Algernon Blackwood, E.F. Benson, Ernest Dowson, John Gawsworth, Lautreamont, Richard Middleton, M.P. Shiel, and Montague Summers.

Contributors of writing to the zine issues #1 to #4 included Mike Ashley, Brian R. Banks, Simon Clark, David Cowperthwaite (Transactions of the Doppelganger Society), as himself and as "John Gale", Roger Dobson, Christina Foyle, Edward Holroyd, S.T. Joshi, writing on the poetry of H. P. Lovecraft, Joel Lane, Alan W. Lear, D.F. Lewis (Nemonymous), Simon MacCulloch, Raymond B. Russell, William Sharpe as "Fiona Mcleod", Colin Summerford, Julie Speedie, Mark Valentine, Donald Weeks, Ron Weighell, Simon Whitechapel, Jon Wynne-Tyson, and Alexandra Zaina.

Contributors of art work include John Coulthart.

Also included were reprints of writing by A. St. John Adcock, Ivar Campbell, Hubert Crackantgorpe, Arthur Machen, Arthur Ransome, Count Stenbock, Arthur Sykes, and Oscar Wilde, poetry by Ivar Campbell, and Ernest Dowson, and art work by Aubrey Beardsley.

Mark Valentine was previously a guest editor of Dark Dreams with David Cowperthwaite.
