Ace Backwords is a writer and cartoonist living in San Francisco. He created the comic strip Twisted Image, wrote the book Surviving on the Streets: How to Go Down Without Going Out and has contributed to many zines, including Maximum Rock and Roll, WoRMfEA$t! and babysue. His specialty is grim satire, often mocking the excesses of the American counterculture.
For many years, Backwords has been homeless. He is usually difficult to contact.
