Robert W. Howington (a/k/a "The Loser") is best known for the zine Losers Are Cool.
His raw, aggressive brand of writing (sometimes called "shockism") is heavily influenced by Charles Bukowski. He has produced anthologies, chapbooks, and broadsides of his and others' work. Some of his other titles include Homemade iceCream Press and B.A.S.K. He has written poems, short stories, cartoons, recordings, letters, etc. and has been featured in the zines WoRMfEA$t! and Beat Surreal. He is also known for the series of books called Drive-by-Books, and for feuding with other writers.
