Chihuahua and Pitbull
Chihuahua and Pitbull was a zine from New Orleans.
The zine was put together by New Orleans zinester Ethan Clark and was composed of Ethan's stories. Three issues were released. The first issue was presented inside a corked bottle which was said had to be broken to get the zine. The first issue had stories about going to a boarding school on the gulf coast as a budding punk rocker and hoping for a hurricane to destroy the old establishment, a comic about a trip to Atlantic city, and teenaged girl motivated hitchhiking trip across the country. The second issue had stories about a park being destroyed in order to widen a road, a story of skinheads beating Ethan up and a ghost graffiti character in New Orleans. After issue two Ethan sent several months in Ireland and distributed the zine there. Issue three has stories about working a hot dog cart. Ethan then wrote a small one off A6 zine called a A Little Guide to Truing Bike Wheels, the book Stories Care Forgot: An Anthology Of New Orleans Zines and the book Learning with intent to fall.
Ethan Clark was on the of the zinesters participating in the Y'erd Me? Zine Tour of November 2002, which travelled along the east coast to a number of cities. Ethan read selections from Chihuahua and Pitbull, which were later reprinted in the compilation zine Y'erd Me?, which documented the work read on the tour.
